Yangon - Mrauk U - Yangon

DAY 1 Arrive Yangon

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcomed by our well experience tour guide. Yangon sightseeing starts with Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, the most well-known Buddhist temple in Yangon where a huge reclining Buddha image is housed. Then proceed to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments and enjoy your visit to this gorgeous pagoda, which is believed to be 2,500 years old. The central stupa, glittering in the soft evening light, is surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues and is considered to be the symbol of Yangon. After visiting, drive back to hotel and stay overnight.

DAY 2 Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk U

After breakfast, transfer to airport and fly to Sittway. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our tour guide and transfer to Sittway jetty to leave for Mrauk-U by boat which takes about 5 to 7 hours depending on river and weather conditions. Enjoy the beauty scenes along the journey. Arrive Mrauk- U, an ancient city of Rakhine State and transfer to Hotel. Stay overnight in Mrauk-U.

DAY 3  Mrauk U

Mrauk U is the second biggest archeologic site beside Bagan in Myanmar, with hundreds of temples, pagodas, and other monuments all around the place. It is also the capital of Mrauk-U Township. After breakfast, visit to Shit-Thaung Temple, home to some 80,000 holy Buddha images and relics, Anndaw Thein where a tooth relic of Buddha is enshrined, Laungbanprauk Pagoda, locally known as "Plate Pagoda' because a wall at the front is embedded with plate-like tiles in bright color, Dukkanthein also called as Htukanthein stands on a hill which is about 30 feet in height. Its structure is like a flat surface in the form of a drum. Like most of the ancient monuments in Mrauk U. Dukkanthein was built with sandstones and layers of bricks over the roof. Lemyathna or "the four-faced pagoda" which is about a distance of 150 feet to the northwest of the Dukkhanthein Pagoda. Afternoon visit the Museum which houses ancient stone slabs with inscriptions and an interesting collection of Rakhine style Buddha images. Visit to Shwe Taung Hill, where there is a good view over Mrauk U and spend the time till sunset.

DAY 4 Mrauk U - Chin Village - Mrauk U

After breakfast, transfer to Ngagya Jetty and take lovely boat ride to Chin village which take about 3- hour drive) up to Leymyo river. The journey upriver becomes very scenic as the valley narrows, and the visit itself will give you the opportunity to observe local traditions. You will also see women who has tattoo on their face(s) owing to their belief. Stop an hour or so at couple of villages to meet local Chin people and explore their daily life. After that return to Mrauk U. Overnight at hotel in Mrauk U.

DAY 5 Mrauk U – Sittwe

Enjoy sunrise over the misty hills of Mrauk U from the top of the hill. After breakfast continue sightseeing in Mrauk U with a visit to the market, the ruins of the Royal Palace and the Archaeological Museum. Proceed to the jetty and embark a chartered boat back to Sittwe. On arrival enjoy sunset over the Bengal Bay from View Point Beach. Overnight at Hotel in Sittwe.

DAY 6 Sittwe – Yangon

After breakfast, visit Sittway market, View Point Lighthouse (Farkir Point) a lovely recreational spot where one can enjoy breathing fresh sea breeze. It shows the panoramic view of Baronga islands on the other side of the Kaladan River, and also the Layshinedaung savage island lighthouse if time permits. Then transfer to Sittway Airport for departure to Yangon. Arrive Yangon and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.

DAY 7 Departure
