Yangon - Bagan - Heho - Pindaya - Inle Lake – Yangon
Day 1: Yangon
Our Myanmar Vision representative will meet you on arrival at Yangon International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Then afternoon sightseeing includes the old colonial-style city center with the Sule Pagoda, tranquil Kandawgyi Lake with the Karaweik Hall, a royal floating barge, an ideal spot to take pictures of that beautiful lake with its shores lined with gardens and trees. An extended visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world's most spectacular religious monuments and will conclude the tour of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in. Today, you will explore and enjoy Bagan, the first (and very beautiful) capital of the Burmese and founded in the 11th century. This is one of the richest archaeological sites in South-east Asia, situated on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. We'll wander local markets, historical pagodas, handicraft workshops and ancient temples. Sightseeing starts with the busy Nyaung Oo local market and continue your visit to a diverse selection of the most important Pagodas and temples, such as Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, Gubyaukkyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, and Ananda Temple with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior. Then visit Htilominlo Pagoda, noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. You will continue wandering the lacquer workshop to explore about the fascinating technique of this art. Visit the famous Thatbyinnyu Pagoda constructed by King Alaungsithu and Shwegugyi Temple also known as "Nandaw Oo Paya" built by King Alaungsithu in 1140 A.D. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the plains from the upper terrace of one of the temples. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan - Heho - Pindaya - Inle Lake
After breakfast, transfer to Nyaung Oo (Bagan) Airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, proceed by road to Pindaya approximately 65 km and takes about 1 ½ hours to visit Pindaya Caves, unique for the thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries. Then drive to Inle Lake, sitting at about 900 metres above sea level. Stay overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Inle Lake
After breakfast, take a boat and experience the diverse and vibrant local life of Inle Lake, where inhabitants maintain centuries old traditions. Drift by the floating villages, temples and gardens, as you ride along this immense lake. See the traditional blacksmiths, learn how to roll a cheroot cigar, one of the local delicacies of Burma. Rolled with a cheroot leaf and tobacco, these cigars also contain a variety of local herbs and spices and are an aromatic experience. Even non-smokers will be affixed watching women systematically roll hundreds with ease. Further visits are made to the great Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda with its five holy Buddha images, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and other interesting sights. The beauty of sunset over the Inle Lake enchants all visitors. Stay overnight at Hotel.
Day 5: Inle Lake - Heho - Yangon
After breakfast, proceed to Heho Airport. Upon arrival to Yangon, transfer to international airport to connect your departure flight. We hope you enjoyed your vacation with Myanmar Vision and we look forward to seeing you again for your next trip.
