Places to Visit: Yangon - Inle Lake - Kalaw (Trekking) - Yangon
Day 1: Yangon - Inle
Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcomed by our well-experienced tour guide. Drive to the hotel for check-in. Then proceed to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments and enjoy your visit to this gorgeous pagoda, which is believed to be 2,500 years old. The central stupa, glittering in the soft evening light, is surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues and is considered to be the symbol of Yangon. After visiting, drive back to the hotel and continue to High Way Bus Terminal for your onwards journey to Inle. The duration will take about 8 hours.
Day 2: Inle Lake
Early morning, you will get to Shwe Nyaung. Then you will be picked up and drive to Inle for hotel check-in. Inle Lake locates in the highland of Myanmar in an altitude of around 3,000 feet above sea level. In the afternoon, embark on a boat and experience the diverse and vibrant local life of Inle Lake, where inhabitants maintain centuries old traditions. Drift by the floating villages, temples, and gardens, as you ride along this immense lake. See the traditional blacksmiths, learn how to roll a cheroot cigar, one of the local delicacies of Burma. Rolled with a cheroot leaf and tobacco, these cigars also contain a variety of local herbs and spices and are an aromatic experience. Further visits are made to the great Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda with its five holy Buddha images, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and other interesting sights. The beauty of a sunset over the Inle Lake enchants all visitors. Stay overnight at Hotel in Inle.
Day 3: Inle Lake - Kalaw (Kalaw – Tar Yaw (Danu village)
After breakfast, drive to Kalaw which is an old hill station with a laid-back atmosphere, refreshing climate, and scenic views. Upon arrival, you will go along with trekking guide through small ranges with tea-leaf, orange plantation and cheroot-leaf plantations, Ywar Thit village where you will meet local villagers - Danu people. Then proceed to Tar Yaw village of Palaung people. Tar Yaw village is reputed for its longhouses of old style Palaung tribe. The long houses have six or eight Palaung families stay together. In the house, hand-made weaving can be seen. Proceed to a viewpoint with a small shop for lunch at your own cost (available only vegetarian food). Enjoy beautiful sceneries and panorama from the viewpoint. Total trekking and breaks will take about 5 hrs for the whole day. Back to Kalaw and stay overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Kalaw – Yangon
After breakfast, visit Kalaw Market which is the heart of the town where villagers from the surrounding hills come to sell their produce. And proceed to Bamboo Buddha Image which is 100 over years old. Then transfer to High Way Bus Terminal in Shwe Nyaung to return to Yangon. The journey takes about 8 hours.
Day 5: Yangon
Upon arrival early in the morning, transfer hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, you will visit tranquil Kandawgyi Lake with the Karaweik Hall, a royal floating barge, an ideal spot to take pictures of that beautiful lake with its shores lined with gardens and trees. Bogyoke (Scotts) Market which is the most popular market and a great tourist destination in Yangon where you can shop souvenir, handicrafts, Jewelry, gems, clothing, and foodstuffs. It is one of the precious colonial buildings you can find in Yangon. Stay overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
Day 6 Yangon/departure
